FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. WHAT IS A TAMPERED MOTORSPORT TRACK DAY:

It is a Track Day that is available, for anyone who holds a current RACERS licence and must be a minimum of 14 years of age.   The drivers are put into groups depending on their lap times, or if new to racing  they will be put in the group for first timers.  All drivers and session are timed.  

  1. COST:

The Cost is $250.00  per Driver.  We endeavour to give you 5 sessions for the day providing the day runs smoothly without too many interruptions.  If you have two drivers, one car,  we will put you into different groups so that both drivers are able to have 5 sessions each.

  1. SCRUTINEERING

 Vehicles must be race worthy.  It is not a condition that you have a fire extinguisher, or a tow point but they are both highly recommended.  If you do not have a tow point then you are required to nominate where you wish the tow rope to be hooked onto your car.  You must complete a vehicle equipment checklist before the event.  

  1. CLOTHING:

Driver and Passengers MUST wear either full racing suit or neck to wrist / neck to ankle non-flammable cotton, or wool, No Nylon.  Proper enclosed footwear – non-flammable.  No thongs or sandals.  Helmets must  comply with current Australian Standard must be worn.

  1. NOISE:

All vehicles must have and effective muffler fitted to the vehicles exhaust system in a manner which will reduce the engine noise.  Maximum noise level is 75dba.

  1. PASSENGERS:

Passengers are allowed but must sign a Passenger indemnity form, the cost is $25.00.  The clothing requirements are listed above in point 4.  They will also receive an armband, which must be shown to the Grid Marshall prior to entering the Track.  Passengers are only allowed in un timed sessions.  Generally untimed sessions will be the first and last session of the day.

  1. TIMING:

You will receive a timing Transmitter when you sign on.  This is too placed inside the car.  PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU RETURN THE TRANSMITTER PRIOR TO LEAVING THE CIRCUIT.

Times can be downloaded from www.natsoft.com.au after the end of the day, or viewed via the Natsoft Live Timing Feed on the Natsoft website.

  1. TRACK TIME:

Each driver should get a minimum of 5 sessions for the day.  That is dependent on the number of recoveries and break downs.  Sessions are 15 minutes.

  1. WHAT TIME, DOES IT START?

GATES-  Open at 7.00am

PAPER WORK – At approximately 7.15am

FIRST SESSION – Starts at 9.00am

LAST SESSION  – Finishes at 5.00pm

GATES – CLOSE 6.00PM

No  race engines prior to 9.00am

10.   REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS?

If you cancel within 1 week of the event there will be a $60 cancellation fee except if you cancel within 48 hours of 8 am of the day of the event, in this case there will be no refund.  Cancellations made prior to one week from the event will receive a full refund less the third party merchant fees.

11. What is Rain Check

Our Rain Check program has been put in place to benefit the competitor and must be to purchased with your entry to the event. This insures you against losing the cost of your entry fee due to circumstances outside of your control.

Things happen, we get that and sometimes it is out of your control. The Rain Check will cover you for things like:
• Maybe it might rain
• Parts not arriving
• Medical issues
• Family or Friends passing
• Work getting in the way of a good time

Whatever the circumstances, the Rain Check cover gives you peace of mind that you have flexibility to cancel your entry and re-enter for another date on the calendar, as long as you let us know by 8am on the day of the event, either in person at the track or via email, you will receive a full refund of the entry fee less any card surcharges and the cost of the Rain Check.

What is not covered.
• Not turning up on the day
• Any incident at the event, on track or off
• Another driver, non-transferable. Even if drivers a sharing a car this is per driver
